Build Your Science Foundation
Med school apps love a strong GPA. We help you ace gen chem, physics, and everything in between. For free. Because your application fees are expensive enough.

The courses that matter most
Pre-med science courses are where GPAs go to be tested. Here is what reef.science has right now and what is in the pipeline. We are growing fast, but we believe in being transparent about where things stand.
General Chemistry
27 generators, actively expanding
Stoichiometry, equilibrium, acid-base, thermochemistry, kinetics, and electrochemistry. Parameterized questions with full solution walkthroughs.
Physics Mechanics
24 generators + full 10-module course
Kinematics, Newton's laws, energy, momentum, rotational dynamics, oscillations, and waves. Complete narrative lessons with calculus-based derivations.
Physics E&M
Coming soon
Electric fields, circuits, magnetism, and optics. Full concept outlines are written across 8 modules. Practice generators are next.
Organic Chemistry
180 concept outlines ready, generators in development
All 13 modules are mapped and outlined, from bonding and hybridization through carbonyl chemistry and biomolecules. We already have a molecular drawing tool (ChemDraw-style) and a 25-molecule catalog. Practice questions are being built now. This is the big one and we are working on it as fast as we can.
Not a replacement for your professor, but a great study partner
We are not trying to replace your lecture hall or your TA's office hours. reef.science is the study partner who is always available, never judges you for getting the same type of problem wrong three times in a row, and explains things in a different way than your textbook does. Every question comes with a detailed explanation that walks through not just the correct answer, but why each wrong answer is wrong and what common mistake leads to it. That kind of targeted feedback is what turns a B into an A and it is completely free here.
MCAT foundations
Let us be upfront: reef.science is not an MCAT prep platform (yet). We do not have passage-based questions or CARS practice. What we do have is the underlying science that the Chemical and Physical Foundations section tests you on. Strong fundamentals in general chemistry and physics carry directly over to MCAT performance, because the MCAT does not test obscure trivia - it tests whether you really understand how these systems work. Building that understanding now, while you are taking these courses, means less relearning later when MCAT prep starts in earnest.
Practice smarter, not more expensively
Pre-med students already spend a fortune on applications, transcripts, and test fees. The last thing you need is another $40/month subscription for a question bank. reef.science gives you unlimited, parameterized practice problems with detailed explanations that teach you why, not just what. Every question generates fresh numbers so you can practice the same concept type dozens of times without seeing the same problem twice. That is the kind of repetition that builds real fluency, and charging money for it never made sense to us.
Growing every week
The chemistry question bank is expanding, organic chemistry generators are in active development, and Physics E&M is next in the pipeline. We are a small team building in the open and we ship new content constantly. Some things are still rough around the edges. Bear with us - it is getting better every single week, and your feedback directly shapes what we build next. Hit the feedback button on any page to tell us what you need.
What we believe
Education should be free, fun, and fantastic (the three most important F words). Pre-med is stressful enough without worrying about whether you can afford study materials. We built reef.science so that part, at least, is one less thing on your plate.
Start studying
Pick your weakest subject and start practicing. Every question comes with a full explanation so you actually learn from your mistakes.
Free. No hidden fees. No premium tier.
Found a problem or have an idea? Use the feedback button (bottom right on every page) to let us know. We read every submission.
