One platform, your whole degree
Most STEM students end up juggling five different apps, three YouTube channels, and a stack of PDFs that may or may not match their professor's notation. reef.science puts everything in one place. We cover the core engineering and science curriculum from introductory courses through advanced topics, and every concept is connected through a prerequisite graph that shows you exactly how ideas relate to each other. Statics feeds into Dynamics which feeds into Vibrations. Gen Chem leads to Organic Chem. The platform understands these connections so you do not have to keep track of them yourself. It is free, it is growing, and it is designed specifically for the way STEM degrees actually work.
What's available now
Ten courses are live with practice generators. More are mapped and in development. Generator counts reflect parameterized question types, each one produces infinite numerical variations.

68 generators
Equilibrium, free body diagrams, trusses, frames, centroids, and moments of inertia.
Physics Mechanics
24 generators
Kinematics, Newton's laws, work-energy, momentum, rotation, and waves.
Chemistry
27 generators
Stoichiometry, equilibrium, acids and bases, thermochemistry, kinetics, and electrochemistry.
Dynamics
19 generators

Coming soon
Calculus, Linear Algebra (118 nodes mapped), Physics E&M (83 concepts outlined), and Organic Chemistry (180 concept outlines written). Topic maps exist for 25+ courses total. We are turning those maps into practice content as fast as we can.
More than just practice problems
Practice problems are the backbone, but reef.science gives you a lot more than that. Interactive simulations let you load beams, resolve forces, and explore moments in real time. The concept graph shows you how every idea in your degree connects to every other idea, so you can see the big picture instead of studying topics in isolation. Narrative lessons walk you through derivations with worked examples and thought questions. And every practice question comes with a detailed explanation that covers not just the answer, but why the other choices are wrong and what common mistakes lead to them. All of it is free, because we think learning tools should not be a luxury.
The concept graph advantage
Every concept on reef.science is a node in a directed acyclic graph. That is a fancy way of saying we mapped out all the prerequisites so the platform knows that you need to understand free body diagrams before tackling truss analysis, or that dot products come before work-energy theorem. This is not just an organizational trick - it is the foundation for never studying a topic you are not ready for. When you open a concept and see its prerequisites, you know exactly what to review if something feels shaky. No guessing, no flipping back through 400 pages of a textbook. Just a clear path from where you are to where you need to be.
Free means one less thing to worry about
STEM degrees are expensive. Textbooks alone can run hundreds of dollars per semester, and that is before you add tutoring services, study guides, and all the other resources that promise to help you pass. We think knowledge wants to be free. So we made it free. No trial period, no premium tier, no "unlock advanced features for $9.99/month." Every course, every question, every simulation on reef.science is available to every student at no cost. We are still building and some parts are rougher than others. Bear with us and tell us what you need - we read every piece of feedback.
Why we do this
Education should be free, fun, and fantastic (the three most important F words). That is the principle behind every feature on this platform. If your semester is overwhelming and your wallet is thin, we want reef.science to be the one tool you can count on without worrying about the price tag. We are in this for the long haul and we are glad you are here.
